Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how VYNOXE LLC ("VYNOXE", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects information when you use the Runway mobile application.
Runway is a cash-runway and money-tracking application designed for freelancers and people with irregular income.
Runway does not connect to your bank account, does not access bank credentials and does not automatically import transactions from banks or financial institutions.
01 — Information we collect
Account information
When you create a Runway account, we may collect: your email address, your first name (if provided), your internal user ID, your password in securely hashed form, and account creation and update dates. We do not store your password in plain text.
Financial information entered by you
Runway stores financial information that you choose to enter manually, including: starting cash balance, typical daily spending, income amounts/dates/notes, expense amounts/dates/notes, currency/country/timezone settings, and Runway's own calculations — safe daily spending, risk levels and alerts.
Runway does not connect to your bank account and does not receive financial information directly from banks. Your financial entries are used only to provide Runway's app functionality, including balance calculations, runway estimates, safe-spending guidance and alerts.
Device and notification information
If you enable notifications, Runway may collect and store your device push notification token, device platform, notification preferences, and token activity information, used to deliver notifications and manage preferences.
Analytics information
Runway uses Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and improve functionality. This may include app opens, registration/login events, onboarding completion, screen views, expense/income actions, alert views, app version, device type, OS, and analytics identifiers. We do not intentionally send passwords, access tokens, refresh tokens, or complete financial-entry details to Firebase Analytics.
Crash and diagnostic information
Runway uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes and technical problems, which may include crash reports, error messages, stack traces, app version, device model, OS version, technical logs and diagnostic identifiers. We do not intentionally send passwords, access tokens, refresh tokens, or complete financial-entry details to Firebase Crashlytics.
Server and technical information
Our servers and infrastructure providers may process IP address, request date/time, device/browser information, server logs, and security/rate-limit information as required to operate and secure Runway.
02 — How we use your information
We use collected information to: create and manage your account; authenticate users and manage sessions; store your financial entries and settings; calculate balance, cash runway, and safe daily spending; generate risk alerts and notifications; maintain and improve the app; identify and fix crashes; protect against misuse, fraud and security threats; respond to support/privacy/deletion requests; and comply with legal obligations.
03 — How we share information
We do not sell your personal information.
We use third-party service providers to operate Runway, including: Neon (PostgreSQL) for database storage, Google Firebase Analytics, Google Firebase Crashlytics, Expo notification services, and hosting/security/logging infrastructure providers. These providers process only the information required to provide their services.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process; protect the rights, safety and security of users, VYNOXE LLC, or the public; investigate fraud, abuse or security incidents; or complete a merger, acquisition, restructuring or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
04 — Data storage
Core Runway account information, settings and financial entries are stored in a PostgreSQL database. Data may be processed or stored in countries outside your country of residence depending on service-provider locations. Where required by law, we take appropriate steps to protect internationally transferred data.
05 — Data security
Safeguards may include password hashing, secure authenticated API access, short-lived access tokens, rotating refresh tokens, hashed refresh-token storage, HTTPS encryption, access controls, security logging, and rate limiting on authentication endpoints. No system can guarantee complete security — use a strong, unique password and protect access to your device.
06 — Data retention
We retain account information and user-entered data while your account remains active and as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
Current retention period: 30 days after account deletion. Following deletion, some information may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, analytics systems, or crash-reporting systems. Retained information will not be used to continue providing the deleted account.
07 — Account and data deletion
You can delete your Runway account directly inside the app: Open Runway → Settings → Delete account → review the warning → confirm deletion.
You can also visit: runway.cash/delete-account
Account deletion removes the Runway account and associated app data, including account/profile information, user settings, starting balance, baseline daily spending, income entries, expense entries, alerts, device push tokens, and active refresh-token sessions. Some technical records may remain temporarily in backups, security logs, Firebase Analytics, or Firebase Crashlytics per applicable retention settings and legal requirements.
08 — Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to: request access to your information; correct inaccurate information; request deletion; restrict or object to certain processing; receive a portable copy where applicable; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; and submit a complaint to a relevant data-protection authority. We may need to verify your identity before completing a privacy request.
09 — Children's privacy
Runway is not directed to children under 13 or the higher minimum age required by applicable law in the user's country. Children below the applicable minimum age should not create a Runway account.
10 — Third-party services
Runway uses services provided by Google Firebase and Expo, which operate under their own privacy policies:
11 — Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Runway, our service providers, or applicable legal requirements change. Updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be communicated through the app.
